I've decided to go all retro this coming winter, so I used a very old simplicity pattern that I've had in my sewing patterns stash for over 3 years now. It was an impulse buy on eBay but having finished the dress and realising how beautiful it turned out I don't regret my purchase one second. The dress was very easy to make and it took no time at all. The fabric is from fabric land (Bristol) £3.99 per metre.
I wasn't too crazy about the collars after I put them on so I decided to do without them
At First, I thought it would look good without the sleeves but noooo...,it looked like a school uniform so I put them back on.
The dress will go great with my Victoria Beckham cape which  is in my next to
sew list,  here is a picture. It is available from Vogue patterns
The whole inspiration for my Winter wardrobe came from seeing pictures of this cape and all things wool on the runway.
Not only does this dress go with my platforms it goes great with knee length boots if you really want to cover up
The dress gives such an illusion, it's great for all shapes and sizes, I absolutely love it.

Thanks for visiting my blog and keep checking for new creations.
